Key Achievements:

Supported parishes in their planning and development of local youth ministry initiatives.
Supported schools in the North East of the diocese, particularly those with the CSYMA schools youth ministry program.
Key co-ordinator of Sandhurst’s participation in World Youth Day 2008. Liaised  with local teachers and parish staff, the Sydney WYD Planning Office,  transport co-ordination and National and Victorian committees, and created regional support structure for planning, preparation and pilgrimage ensuring the 500 young people from our area had a smooth and well organised experience. Journey of the Cross, Icon and Message Stick – Liaison between parishes and the World Youth Day office to support events planned at a local level and ensure that all protocol for international symbols were followed. Days in the Diocese -Linked international guests from Germany, Spain, Italy, France and East Timor with local communities across the diocese, and liaised with leaders to prepare international visitors for an Australian experience.  Supported local communities across the diocese to prepare appropriate program and events for guests.
Led process to develop new logo, website and branding for Sandhurst Youth Ministry.
Kept website updated with resources, information and reading material. (Joomla)
Worked with Adult Faith Education office and Institute for Faith Leadership ( Brisbane) to adapt course/elective unit in Certificate IV in Ministry. Prepared course booklet and presented sections of course with other diocesan leaders.
Created local youth event, post World Youth Day titled “Receive the Power, Sandhurst” with three bands, meals, and keynote address by Bishop Joe Grech.

Liaised with Broken Bay Institute to introduce academic study in youth ministry and ensured that it was promoted through youth ministry networks.
Initiated, led and developed a network of support structures for youth ministry across the diocese.
Facilitated leadership training for youth ministers and volunteers in various aspects of youth ministry, both in formal and informal settings.
Initiated, coordinated and evaluated events for young people at a diocesan level, in particular instituting the diocesan Lighthouse festival for youth and young adults.
Supported and empowered people at a parish and regional level to create local events.
Liaised with the Catholic Schools Office, Confraternity of Christian Doctrine, Centacare, Broken Bay Institute, Liturgy, Pastoral Planning and the Office for Christian Leadership.
Coordinated and led pilgrimages to World Youth Day, 55 from Broken Bay to Toronto in 2002, and 48 diocesan pilgrims to Cologne in 2005.
